[Techie Stuff] Posting to FaceBook: not for the Faint-Hearted

Ah, the great fun of linking this blog to Facebook.
Just got off the phone with coach, Forrest (he’s on Facebook under “Geek Quotient.”) after over an hour trying to hook this blog, HealthyLivingBeyondFifty, to my Fan Page on Facebook.
Thinking I’d need clear directions if I ever chose to do this again I started to take notes.
What a laugh. After jotting a few web addresses I gave up. There’s no way I could ever do this again on my own. Several times even Forrest had to pause to picture in his mind where I was and what we needed to do next.
FaceBook’s processes are Hansel and Gretel crumb trails. Around the barn, doubling back, disappearing in water, appearing again.
After that hour I think Forrest succeeded and I’m hooked up. When I post to my Blog the post will automatically appear on my Fan Page in Facebook, “Healthy Living Beyond Fifty.
Hooray!
Quan Site makes most of this happen automatically, but, once again, as I said on an earlier post about kettlebells, if you don’t have a good coach you might as well give up. I can’t see this is something most ordinary computer people like me could ever do alone.
As with anything, call someone who knows. Plumber, electrician, Geek Quotient person. Thanks, by the way, Forrest.
John comes home with a new software idea with the old line, “It’s easy to load and easy to understand.”
NOT. I’m convinced no software is easy to load or easy to understand. Murphy’s ever with us. (Murphy: if something can go wrong it will.)
